About
I am a 25 year old web developer from Chelmsford, Essex. While on IT Career Switch's one year bootcamp, I studied web fundamendals, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, C#, PHP and Python. My strengths are in full-stack and front-end development, with some experience in testing. I am keen to work in a collaborative environment where I can learn from my colleagues and strengthen my skills.
Front-End & Full-Stack Web Developer
During my IT Career Switch Bootcamp, I gained hands-on experience in both front-end and back-end development.
To finish the bootcamp, I was tasked with creating a dynamic Gazetteer web app using JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, and PHP, and a Company Directory using SQL and PHP. These projects simulated real-world client requirements, from pitching my approach to creating a UI mockuopp, and working within deadlines. I found the course challenging and rewarding, and I am excited to apply my skills in a professional setting.

Employment/Career History
IT Career Switch Bootcamp
2024 – 2025
Remote Learning
Various courses covering JavaScript, HTML, CSS, PHP, Bootstrap, jQuery, C#, Java, Python, SQL and Full-Stack development.
I found the course engaging, rewarding and demanding. After completing the courses, I completed two projects with a tutor acting as a client. I was required to pitch my approach to the projects, detailing my stack and creating a UI mockup. It also gave experience with working within deadlines.
International Citizen’s Service Volunteering
2019
Tanzania
Providing business education to adults in rural Tanzania
I fundraised to finance my volunteering, and worked with a dozen British and Tanzanian volunteers for three months. I worked under pressure in a foreign environment, showed ability to organise and plan community events both as a member of a team and as a leader, delegating tasks, working under budgetary constraints, to collect, enter and analyse data using a spread sheet, navigating language barriers and significant cultural differences as a team.
Stock Management Assistant
2018 - 2019
John Lewis, Chelmsford
Loading and unloading cages, delivering stock to departments, stocking shelves and security tagging high value items.
I worked under the pressure of the holiday season, quickly familiarised myself with new processes in different departments to fill gaps where I was needed, and integrated into a hard working team.
